Biography:
Patrick Gamez studied Chemistry at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon I (France) from where he received his PhD in Organic Chemistry, in the field of Enantioselective Catalysis. After postdoctoral stays at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung (Germany), the University of Strasbourg (France) and Leiden University (The Netherlands), he became ICREA professor at the University of Barcelona where he is coordinating the nanoBIC group (www.nanobic.eu) since 2010. His current research interests include the development of efficient diagnostic and therapeutic tools against Cancer and Amyloid diseases.
