Biography:

Michael Jorgensen obtained his B.S. in chemical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He conducted research in Jefferson Chan’s lab where he synthesized photoacoustic probes for nitric oxide imaging. After graduating in 2018, he began his graduate career at Purdue University under the mentorship of Jean Chmielewski. His current research is focused on the design of novel peptide biomaterials for regenerative medicine.
